The Ghostly Animal Kingdom and Other True Ghost Stories include over one hundred tales of haunted schools, spooky museums and ghostly children. You’ll giggle at some of the stories and feel very bad when you read about a little girl who drowned. But, she’s very happy ghost who plays tricks on the guests staying at The 1891 Castle Inn of New Orleans. In the dark boiler room at Springfield High School is the broken tombstone of Rachael who haunts the hallways. One museum has an Indian Chief who roams around when the owner has closed and locked the doors.

The Ghostly Animal Kingdom and Other True Ghost Stories

Not all ghostly animals spook the same. Guests staying at the Hotel Vendome can hear faint meows in the closet where Noble died. Noble is even known to brush against the legs of the guests. When they look down, they are surprised to see nothing there. A few residents in Lake Mills, Wisconsin have witnessed two bears playing in the side yard at this bed and breakfast. The ghost bears lived there many, many years ago before being moved to a zoo. Alfie, a pig, doesn’t come around too often at the Iowa State Fair. When he does appear, he always heads to the livestock exhibits. Some ghost animals prefer to stay invisible like Noble, but others like the Demon Cat in Washington DC seem to enjoy being seen. The Demon Cat loves showing off his glowing, yellow eyes. One minute he is an average size cat but in seconds he grows into the size of a panther. And, you will read about monkeys who still chatter away even though they died in the early 1900s.
